Epworth Construction to start on June 5th

The contractor has decided to move-up the start date of Phase 1 MOT by 1 week, so they now plan to initiate the Phase 1 MOT restrictions on June 5th (originally scheduled for June 12th).

As a reminder, the Phase 1 MOT restrictions include:

• a reduction in the number of SR 66 westbound lanes from 3 down to 2 from just west of Grimm Road to near the I-69 interchange (I-69 northbound on-ramp will remain open)

• a width reduction in the (2) SR 66 westbound lanes to 10 feet

• a width reduction in the (3) SR 66 eastbound lanes to 10 feet

• a reduction in the number of Epworth Road southbound thru-lanes from 2 down to 1 from immediately north of the intersection through Venetian Way (the existing southbound left-hand turn-lane onto SR 66 eastbound will not be affected; however, the existing Epworth Road ingress/egress at Venetian Way will be closed)

• a reduction in the number of Epworth Road northbound thru-lanes from 2 down to 1 from immediately north of the intersection for approximately 200 feet (existing Epworth Road ingress/egress at Epworth Crossing will not be affected)

• there will be no impacts to Epworth Road southbound or northbound south of the intersection

It’s anticipated the above Phase 1 MOT restrictions will remain in effect through mid/late November 2023.
